Relatively a new startup and a sister concern of Bengaluru-based packaging printing major Creative Dimensions, Fulcrum Digital Prints is breaking new ground in the city’s commercial printing landscape with its advanced machines such as Ricoh Pro 8400S and Ricoh Pro C7500 digital production presses, both bought from Monotech Systems.

Incepted barely a few months back, Fulcrum Digital Prints is a young brainchild of Binny Pappachan, who has had more than 20 years of rich experience in diverse marketing verticals such as brand management, corporate & marketing communication, product management, and trade marketing & pricing. He worked in a handful of FMCG companies, including Unilever, Colgate Palmolive and telecom giants such as Tata and Airtel. He helms Fulcrum Digital Prints to move ahead progressively with strategic steps like the recent investments in the Ricoh Pro 8400S and Ricoh Pro C7500.

“After all, we are proud of being India’s first owner of Ricoh Pro 8400S. We choose this highly advanced monochrome digital production press for its superb features and capabilities like perfect registration and compatibility with coated and uncoated media up to 350 gsm to print in duplex (front-back) mode,” says Pappachan, adding, “Likewise, the Ricoh Pro C7500 is an ideal digital color production workhorse defined by its advancements in speed, media versatility, and quality print outputs.”

Built compact and robust, the Ricoh Pro C7500 is designed to operate at the adjustable speed of 95 ppm. “In addition to productivity and print quality, this digital press handles wide varieties of media from 40 gsm to 470 gsm, which eventually enables us to undertake new graphic applications,” Pappachan says. When it comes to print quality, Ricoh Pro C7500 delivers graphics in the industry’s leading resolution of 2400 x 4800 dpi.

Further, Ricoh Pro 8400S and Ricoh Pro C7500 are bundled with EFI Fiery Digital Print Servers for optimizing print quality and efficiency. Intuitive Fiery Command WorkStation in the servers eventually facilitates precise job management and print quality control, either color or monochrome, which in turn empowers Fulcrum Digital Prints to engage in quick production of high-quality pictures and personalized graphic prints using the presses’ advanced variable data printing capabilities in exceptional RIP speeds and smooth PDF workflows.

A team of 25 skilled staff is the vivacity behind the overall activities at Fulcrum Digital Prints and Creative Dimensions. “Since its establishment in 2016, Creative Dimensions has been exclusively into packaging printing and conversion, working predominantly for big brands in the liquor segment. On other side, Fulcrum Digital Prints serves as a print service provider for jobbers and print shops in B2B business model,” says Pappachan, adding that they currently work for clients based only in and around Bengaluru, but looking for expanding footprints in new regions like Kerala.

“We are now profoundly producing outstanding graphic prints on our two new Ricoh machines. We feel grateful to be partnered with Monotech for the machines and their all-time supportive team who knows how and what to sell to meet customers’ needs,” says Pappachan.
