Monotech Systems showcased a range of digital printing, embellishment, and finishing technologies at the recently concluded Bharat Print Expo 2025 in Bengaluru. In addition to live machine demonstrations, the company dedicated a section of its stand to display digitally printed label samples, POD books, and transactional documents produced using the JETSCI inkjet press in roll-to-roll format.

“Being a leading manufacturer and one-stop solution provider for the printing and packaging industry globally, we have the objective to fulfill every printing and post-printing need of our customers. That’s why we present a complete portfolio of machines, technologies, and solutions at Bharat Print Expo 2025,” said Akash Kumar, marketing head, Monotech Systems.

Kumar categorizes the machines on display into four key segments— digital production press, digital wide-format printing, print finishing and embellishment, and track and trace solutions.

“Our focus is extended to adding value to the digitally printed products with print embellishments and finishing. That’s why we have showcased the Ricoh Pro C7500, a digital color production press with 11-color printing capability, along with the PixelGlow Lumina, our brand, for high-end digital print embellishments. In addition to these two, we have displayed the Morgana ColorCut SC7000 Pro digital die-cutter from Plockmatic Group and other post-press solutions,” he said.

In the track-and-trace solution category, the stand highlighted the Tracesci Razor 6, a high-speed industrial inkjet system, and the Loop production line for print, verify, reject, track, and blockchain-based track-and-trace solutions from the company’s brand Tracesci.

For digital wide-format printing, the stand exhibited a Mimaki UJV100-160Plus as well as the Pixeljet UVmini (3×5’), a small and efficient entry-level UV flatbed printer for applications such as gifting, novelties, POS/POP, and more. Another product on showcase in the category was the Canon imagePROGRAF TM 5350, a versatile plotter for printing posters, photos, AEC (architecture, engineering, and construction) documents, and graphics.

Rising demand for embellishment and inkjet technology

Embellishment, according to Kumar, is rapidly gaining traction in the Indian market. “Customers are increasingly seeking enhancements that add value to print,” he said. “This value addition not only distinguishes businesses but strengthens their market position.” He said Monotech installed three dSpark roll-to-roll digital label embellishment systems in the last financial year.

According to Kumar, the adoption of inkjet technology is growing across India. “In total, around 16 inkjet presses were installed last year, and we expect this number to grow significantly in the current financial year,” Kumar said. He gave examples of various companies adopting inkjet technology since 2021 (when Monotech installed the first inkjet press in India at Saurabh Printers), which serve as a testament to the inkjet industry’s growth in India.

Upcoming launches

Monotech plans to launch a refined version of its PixelGlow Vertex, launched at Printpack 2025. In the book printing segment, the company will introduce a new knowzzleJet press featuring Kyocera printheads. The label printing portfolio will be strengthened with an enhanced version of its KolorSmart press.
