Apex Digital, located in Sripally town of Bardhaman district in West Bengal, about 100 km
from Kolkata, is a commercial printing shop that produces diverse products using a fleet of advanced digital production presses and post-press equipment. The company’s post-press section has India’s first Morgana ColorCut SC6500, a fully automated digital die cutter supplied and installed by Monotech Systems.

Indian machine manufacturer Monotech Systems provides solutions for the printing and packaging industry and serves as an Indian representative of a handful of global brands, such as Morgana, to supply machines and equipment to clients such as Apex Digital. Since its establishment in 2015, Apex Digital has been offering a range of end products, which
include, but are not limited to, business cards, brochures, flyers, catalogues, labels, etc.

The production facility of Apex Digital is equipped with a line of advanced digital production presses from Konica Minolta and others as well as post-press machines and tools. “The installation of the new Morgana ColorCut SC6500 marked a tremendous improvement in our overall die-cutting and creasing tasks,” says Arindam Das, proprietor of Apex Digital.

“Over the years, we have been using various finishing machines from other brands. However, we have benchmarked a new bar of consistency, accuracy, and precision in our post-press tasks of cutting and creasing right after the installation of the new Morgana ColorCut SC6500. This fully automated and compact digital die-cutting machine has advanced features and capabilities. Morgana is a reputed European brand, and through our collaboration with the Plockmatic Group, we are now bringing European quality to India. We are proud to be India’s first owner of this state-of-the-art Morgana finishing machine.”

Perfectly engineered with full automation for cutting and creasing unattended, Morgana ColorCut SC6500 digitally cuts through light sheets for shaping end-products like cards on different stocks up to 350 microns with SmartTag retention and also precisely kiss-cutting labels, all at a speed of up to 1060mm/sec. Another unique and added feature of this digital die-cutting system is its ‘no wires’ working environment as the new HELD mode in the machine allows the operator to run it without connection to a PC, and no additional software is needed.

“Morgana ColorCut SC6500 has thoroughly boosted the precision and accuracy in our die-cutting and creasing process to a whole new level like never before,” says Das, adding, “We are grateful to Monotech Systems for providing us such an advanced and capable finishing machine, accompanied by their devoted after-sales support which helps us know the machine’s inclusive cutting-edge technology, capability, and utmost utilization of it efficiently and accurately.”
