Provin Technos bagged seven deals for RMGT presses and one deal for a Miyakoshi press at the Printpack exhibition in Greater Noida. Provin had five orders for RMGT 920ST 4-color press, one for RMGT 920ST 5-color press and another order for RMGT 1060ST 6-color with coater press. The company also bagged a deal for a Miyakoshi MJP 20EXM high-speed monochrome inkjet press with 1200 x 1200 dpi.

Vinay Kaushal, director, Provin Technos, the distributor for RMGT and Miyakoshi in India, said the presses have been ordered by commercial and book printers. Stating that it was too early to reveal the names, Kaushal said three of the RMGT 4-color presses are going to North India and the remaining two to West India. The RMGT 920ST 5-color press is going to the South along with the RMGT 1060ST 6-color with coater press, he added. The Miyakoshi MJP 20EXM is going to a North India printer.

“We have had many good installations for RMGT and Miyakoshi in FY 24-25. Miyakoshi’s high-speed monochrome inkjet press is the most exciting product that has taken off in the Indian market. We have already had two installations for Miyakoshi. A third is in the process of installation and the fourth one will come next year. We installed 12 RMGTs in FY 24-25, including 4-color, 5-color and 6-color plus coaters. 4-5 machines will be installed in the coming months. We are confident we will have a good FY 25-26, though we are facing challenges such as the price boom and logistics challenges,” he said.

Toshiyuki Ishibashi, group leader, international sales and marketing department, sales and service division – RMGT, told Indian Printer & Publisher, “Provin Technos is our distributor in India since 2014 and they keep our Indian customers happy with their ethics and company philosophy in selling top-class machines. With their help, we have established a good client base all over India.” They plan to expand our customer base in India, he said.

RMGT primarily focuses on two models in India – the 10 and 9 series, Ishibashi said, adding the 10 series is a specialized model targeting the packaging industry.

Akshay Kaushal, executive director – sales at Provin Technos, said, “For us, the 9-series has been a hot-selling product in the Indian market. It suits the industry requirements for various segments, including commercial printing, book printing, and packaging. The RMGT 9-series is a very versatile model. The RMGT presses are the most ergonomically designed presses not only in India but across the world. Their cost and power consumption is the lowest.”

Particularly in the 9-series, the plate size saves approximately 26-28% cost in each job. It reaches a good number accumulated over the years, Akshay Kaushal said. The RMGT 9-series is compact and fits every requirement, especially in big cities where there is space constraint. “We have sold more than 100 9-series RMGT machines in the Indian market and plan to increase the number, he said.

Ishibashi said RMGT has succeeded in installing more than 1,850 9-series RMGT machines across the world, which makes it the company’s bestselling model.

For packaging, they have a few orders in the pipeline, Akshay Kaushal said, adding the 9-series is the world’s most preferred A1 size press.

“We expected a good footfall on during the exhibition. The nature of the exhibition is gradually changing as people prefer to meet to exchange thoughts and ideas rather than for technological upgrades,” Vinay Kaushal concluded.
