Bengaluru-based Megabound exhibited its hard-case solutions for bookbinding and rigid box making at Printpack 2025, pulling a crowd and cracking deals for 120 machines during the five-day show.

The company showcased 20 machines, some of which were launched at the show, including a digital hard-case book on-demand printing combo digi set. “This newly launched short-run book printing set is a three-machine combo of case maker, cashing in, and joint forming. All the three machines are set in one QR code,” N Srinivasa Reddy, marketing director at Megabound, said.

We have confirmed the bookings of 120 machines during Printpack India 2025 by both new and existing customers,” Reddy said. Among the 20 different models of machines exhibited at Megabound’s stand was a line of newly launched fully automatic case makers, box assembling machines, and spine cutters.

Lakshmi Printographics from Rai, Sonepat, in Haryana, booked seven machines, including two newly launched fully automatic case makers. Pune-based Akruti Print Solution was another big buyer of Megabound machines at Printpack 2025. The company booked four machines comprising a rotary board cutter. “Akruti has been one of our longstanding customers. Their fresh investment in our four new machines is a proven testimonial of the company’s continuing trust in Megabound,” Reddy said.

Megabound, a platinum sponsor of the Printpack, marked its Silver Jubilee Celebrations at the show. “It has been a pleasure to be part of the show where we exhibited 20 of our flagship machines and we were able to sell 120 units,” Reddy said.

Megabound machines are on a par with global brands, he said. Every Megabound machine is designed and engineered to enable clients to deliver premium output, Reddy said.

Megabound aims to meet the growing market needs in India and beyond. Its clients are spread across Europe, America, Africa, Asia, South America, and the West Asia. The company has had installations in Greece, Morocco, Romania, Turkey, the West Indies, Kenya, and Sri Lanka.

We sold 50 machines to overseas clients in drupa 2024. We have sold 120 machines at Printpack India 2025, which is considered a mini drupa, signifying our increasing expansion in both the international and domestic markets,” Reddy said.

In an interaction with Indian Printer & Publisher, Reddy said, “Printpack India 2025 marks our eighth participation in the prestigious show. Our plant is located at Magadi Road in Bengaluru from where we manufacture all our bookbinding and rigid case-making machines. We supply our products to 40 countries. Postpress is a big segment and every printer of repute needs to invest in binding and finishing equipment. As an Indian manufacturer, Printpack provides us with the perfect platform to showcase our quality. Indian manufacturers are not my competition. Our main competition is the Chinese manufacturers.”

In FY24-25, the company supplied 30-plus machines every month, he said. Megabound has had installations in Guwahati, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack in the East; Delhi-NCR, Jaipur, and Punjab in the North; with a strong customer base in Maharashtra and South India, Reddy said.
