A fast-growing print & publishing company in India and beyond, Navi Mumbai-based Quarterfold Printabilities (QFP) is into printing and production of educational books for kindergarten up to higher studies.

We sincerely commit to fulfilling the demands of our customers to the best of our abilities,” says Manoj Dhankani, managing director of Quarterfold Printabilities, which was established in 2014. He says they are empowered with best-in-class machines and equipment running productively in their pre-press, press, and post-press divisions at three production units at Taloja MIDC in Navi Mumbai. Of them, two Komori presses play a pivotal role in maintaining quality & productivity.

We aim to provide accurate designing, printing, and production of high-quality books using high-end machines. We unfolded a big shift in quality printing with a brand new Komori Lithrone A437 in 2018,” says Dhankani, adding, “Before that, we used to run a pre-owned Ryobi press whose result was not up to the mark.”

He adds, “In short, our investment in the brand new Komori was value for money for us indeed. That’s why we went for the second Komori press, yet another brand new Lithrone GL437, in 2022. A good thing about our association with Komori over the last six years is that we haven’t had any technical or other issue with them to date.”

Using a fleet of advanced machines, which include the two Komori presses, Quarterfold Printabilities prints around 5 to 6 billion impressions a month, with over a thousand make-ready or changeover times. “In this, our machines are capable enough to give us the right outputs we want. As long as we concerned about quality which our clients demand, we never let them down because we have the Komori to pull it off,” Dhankani says.

According to Dhankani, most of the offshore clients are predominantly in Africa. “They are in Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast… and in central Africa, we have some of them in Cameroon. Also, we have started supplying our educational books to clients in eastern African countries such as Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, etc,” he says.

In addition to the African countries, were recently expanded our offshore client base by reaching out to Mexico, Germany and the UK. After all, we have a vast client base in the Indian market too. We could make everything so successfully because of our team’s commitment and fleet of high-end machines we own, including the two Komori presses,” he says.

The primary reason for investing in the two Komori presses was because of the brand’s recognition in the industry for its technological advancement, he said. “Another advantage is the team Komori India’s unconditional pre-sales and after-sales services which help us grow, along with them. We treat Komori India not as our vendor but as a business partner. They give excellent training to our working team and they attend us whenever we need them.”

On the efficiency of Komori presses, Dhankani says they are 95% satisfied in terms of quality and productivity. “We would say the Komori presses are best & consistent. When we talk about the overall quality in outputs and delivery schedules, our customers are happy with that. We are now planning to diversify into new verticals with new units. In this, needless to say Komori will always be our partner,” he concludes.
