Jalgaon (Maharashtra)-based Aakar Innovation has changed its printing, productivity and innovation in graphics with the purchase of a brand new Ricoh Pro C7500 – 11 color digital press. The Ricoh digital color production press is supplied and installed by Monotech Systems.

Since its establishment around 20 years ago, Aakar Innovation has been in digital printing and production of a range of products such as catalogs, fliers, brochures, business cards, marketing collaterals, photos, and many others related to packaging.

“Over the years we have been working for customers with mixed profiles and backgrounds from diverse sectors across Maharashtra. Even the walk-in customers are from different walks of life,” says Sandip Gondhali, proprietor of Aakar Innovation.

Aakar Innovation keeps upgrading its machine portfolio to enhance print quality and productivity. Gondhali says, “We have so far used a fleet of digital production presses of different brands and models, which include one from Xerox and another from Konica Minolta. However, we have chosen the newly launched Ricoh Pro C7500 over all others for its compactness with highly advanced features and capacities.”

“It has been barely a few months since we installed the Ricoh press, but what we witness is a big difference in print outputs in terms of quality, resolution, and innovative texture. When we say ‘innovation’, this press has the 5th Color Station to add seven more colors to the CMYK gamut.” The station splatters additional colors, viz. Gold, Silver, White, Clear, Neon Pink, Neon Yellow, and Invisible Red. He adds, “We currently manage colors with CMYK. However, we will definitely add the additional station when we rather need more innovations in graphics than we currently do,”

An upgraded successor to the Ricoh Pro C7200x, the Ricoh Pro C7500 has many additional features & capacities which Aakar Innovation is exploiting. “Its capacity to handle varieties of media is really a big advantage,” says Gondhali. Compatibly, Ricoh Pro C7500 handles specialty media ranging from 40gsm up to 470gsm at the speed of 85ppm to deliver prints graphics in the industry’s highest resolution of 2400x4800dpi. It features EFI Fiery digital print servers to enhance performance & profitability for both colour and monochrome print outputs.

Fiery digital print servers are crucial for optimizing efficiency & quality in today’s print operations. Its intuitive Fiery Command WorkStation facilitates precise job management and color control, enabling quick production of personalized products with variable data printing (VDP) capabilities of Ricoh Pro C7500 in exceptional RIP speeds and smooth PDF workflows.

“Ricoh Pro C7500 is our first machine from Monotech. We would say it’s the best among all we have ever owned. Our gratitude to Monotech is for making us rise above the ordinary with such a capable machine complemented by their unconditional after-sales support,” says Gondhali, mentioning they look forward to investing in more such machines.
