Monsoon Roundtable on strategies for the modernization of the packaging supply chain organized by IPPStar, Packaging South Asia, and RAAS Intelli Solutions.

At the Pack.Nxt Conference in Mumbai on 18 January, we came to the realization that while sustainability and track and trace are topics garnering the most attention, neither are likely to be implemented without taking into consideration the filling and sealing operations. It is all very well to talk about new polymers, laminates and formats but how will the food and pharma products be filled and sealed, especially on existing packaging lines?

In addition, the need to precisely measure product filling, sealing, and detect all types of failures on the packaging lines, while implementing track and trace codes is a basic requirement. In addition, introducing automation and collecting actionable data for transmission and analysis are aspects of the new paradigms for workflow digitization. How will this happen in India and how to make it happen – given that most existing packaging lines cannot be replaced by totally new and more highly automated equipment?

To discuss these issues, we are pleased to announce the Monsoon Roundtable on strategies for the modernization of the packaging supply chain organized by IPPStar, Packaging South Asia, and RAAS Intelli Solutions. The invitation-only event is scheduled for Wednesday, 28th August 2024, at the IMA Conference Room, Navi Mumbai.

This exclusive half-day session will ask the leading brand owners how they see the progress of sustainable packaging and how it can be incorporated into existing legacy and future packaging lines. We invite top executives and CEOs of food and pharma companies to discuss the challenges presented by new materials and designs. To share and establish perspectives on technology and legacy platforms and how to improve their efficiency, with precision data collection and the cloud. The idea is to listen to those with the power and mandate to effect changes in current and future packaging workflows.

Speakers and participants from IMA, Uhlmann, Raas Intellisolutions, and Kellogs-Kellanova have consented to take part. Other speakers and participants in the interactive roundtable format will include brand owners in food, pharma, and film production, packaging converters, filling and sealing experts, and contractors. The participating brand owners thus far include Kellogs-Kellanova, Keya Foods, Kimberly Clark, Parakh Agro and CIPLA with many more expected to take advantage of this opportunity.
