Offset Printers’ Association (OPA) is organizing a buyer- seller meet at Ludhiana from 10 to 13 October, 2014 under the brand name ‘InterPrint Expo — 2014.’ This exhibition of printing machines and materials is going to be unique in many ways. It is going to be an exhibition cum buyer-seller meet. It will work as a platform to the buyers and the sellers at a common point, nearest to their place of work. The exhibition is supported by the Ministry of MSME, Government of India (GoI). Approximately 60 per cent of the stall charges will be reimbursed by the GoI to the entrepreneurs registered under MSME with EM Part-II and participating in this exhibition.
The exhibition is being organized taking into consideration the constant demand of the printers of the more than 34 cities of this region. The main aim for this exhibition is to provide the knowledge about the technical innovations and advancements in this field. It will be a very convenient platform for the printers of the region because they can learn about the latest advancements in the trade in their own language near to their place of work.
It is a well-known fact that with 33% share the North region is leading in printing. As per Pira International, UK the growth of printing in the northern region at 12.7% is the
highest in India. In North the major growth in printing is going on in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir and Rajasthan due to the friendly policies of the state and central government. These areas are becoming the new growth engines for the industry in the North.
Taking into consideration the potential of the region, Ludhiana has been selected as the venue for this meet. Ludhiana is a fast developing industrial town, known as the Manchester of India. It is centrally located and is very well connected to the entire region and even to the remote areas of Himachal, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir.
Big names from the printing and converting industries will showcase the latest in machines, materials and systems. Many of these will be showing their latest technologies for the first time in India.
