Mumbai-based Venus Infotech displayed dye sublimation products at Printex 2014. At the show Venus displayed metal and hardboard sublimation products from Chromaluxe, a pioneer in sublimation. The technology relies on printing an image on a transfer sheet which is then heat transferred to an enormous range of substrates to stunning effect.

“We have become the all India distributor for Chromaluxe,” said Hemanshu Desai of Venus Infotech. Main applications of sublimation include home décor, gifting items such as kitchenware and in the photography industry,” said Desai. “We are targeting people in the photographic industry who know about sublimation. Also, our target audience is home décor and interior designing segment.”

Desai said there are plans to start road shows to demonstrate this product as it is new for offset and printing business. He added that plans are also afoot to set up Chromaluxe

print centers in major metros. “We are planning to set up such centers in Mumbai and Delhi. Mumbai will likely have two centers and Delhi one.” The process of appointing dealers in other states is also on, Desai said.

Commenting on the event, Desai

said it was fantastic and the stall saw almost 900 visitors during the three days. “People were attracted by the quality of the print and products. Customers have been chasing us instead of us chasing them,” he said.
