Epson showcased its color inkjet and color label printers at the 14th edition of Packplus South, held from 27 to 29 April at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC).
Sankara Narayanan S, assistant manager of sales and marketing, at Epson, said, “With a focus on precision core technology, our printers are equipped with Epson’s heat-free technology, which is ideal for the environment with lower power consumption than any other competitor in the market.” The heat-free technology erases the need to generate heat for printing. This ensures energy savings, reduced e-waste, and minimal maintenance.
According to Narayanan, the color inkjet printers guarantee print yields as high as 86,000 pages with a speed of up to 26 ipm (images per minute). “After five years of using our products, the printer will notice a cutdown in consumables usage, which will reduce costs.”
Epson showcased the newly introduced, mid-segment label printer ColorWorks C4050 and the ColorWorks C6000 series in the color label printer segment. The C6000 series is integrated with auto-cutter and auto-peeler capabilities that eliminate the hassles of manual cutting and removing label backing papers.

Sabari Kumar Prabakaran, senior executive, sales and marketing, at Epson said, “Since the industry is working for retail, pharma, and export companies, our color label printer with auto-cutter and peeler function is ideal for those segments.”
The auto-cutting function (C6050A, C6550A) not only enables individualized print job cuts but also offers the flexibility of customizing the set amount of pieces required. The auto-peeler feature (C6050P. C6550P) is ideal for on-demand printing and color label printing installations. The auto-peeler label printers can be used in any desktop printing operations making it possible to apply labels immediately after printing.
