The global print Excellence Awards and the National Excellence Awards in Print took place in Mumbai on 8 February 2024 alongside the Pamex exhibition. The awards were handed over by tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi with assistance from the print industry leaders and officicials of the All India Master Printers Federation at an elegant evening function.
The Black Book 2024 including images of the winning entries and comments of the industry leaders and sponsors was also presented at the function. It contains a comment in its frontspiece by RN Dutta Baroah, president of the AIFMP that starts with a quotation on the top of the page from the 19th century Afro-American newspaper publisher and abolitionist, Frederick Douglas – “It is the mission of the printer to diffuse light and knowledge by a judicious intermingling of black and white.”
In this issue of Indian Printer and Publisher we list the winners in the commercial print and stationary categories of the NAEP and the GPEA while the winners in the label and packaging categories will be listed in the March issue of Packaging South Asia.
