The 36th edition of Media Expo proved to be a great way to start off the year in an improving economy both for the exhibiting companies and the business visitors

Providing the Indian corporate world a chance to witness advanced solutions for advertising and signage industry, the 36th edition of Media Expo proved to be a great way to start off the year in an improving economy both for the exhibiting companies and the 9,490 business visitors who attended the fair.

Generating a positive response among attendees from the print, signage, advertising and corporate sectors, the Media Expo Mumbai inked a successful business story. As Prashant Khomne, managing director, Global5 Technologies said, “Media Expo has created its own benchmark in the advertising and signage industry. Without participating in this exhibition, we cannot say we are a part of the industry.“

Welcoming the high turnout of serious business visitors at their stands, exhibitors shared their optimism about the interactions and strong business expectations in the coming months. Among them was Pradipta Chowdhary, manager sales – WFU, Graphic Arts Division, FujiFilm India who said, “For the Indian market, quality is a pre-requisite and price is a big challenge. However, with the multiple benefits that our technology offers, we have seen interest at the fair that will slowly but surely give good business results. Media Expo is the appropriate platform for creating brand awareness among the right target segments and for increasing the prospective customer base.”

Reflecting the sentiment, Thyagarajan Iyer, COO – Digital Imaging & Positive Solutions – DPM, TechNova Imaging Systems said, “The Indian market appreciates highquality and eco-friendly solutions but cost is a major deterrent. Media Expo is an excellent platform for players like us to showcase what’s possible and what’s green. This year, business interactions have been healthier than the previous editions as we met a lot of genuine and targeted buyers.”

Attracting visitors from across the western and southern parts of the country, Media Expo Mumbai ensured three extremely busy days for the exhibitors while allowing professionals from marketing and printing sides to witness live demos and innovative displays. Graphic printing and solution provider, Alpesh Chauhan, owner, Anmol Graphics who was visiting from Surat said, “I came from Surat specially to attend Media Expo as I always find competitive products here and end up closing deals. This year, again, I found some machines that can be very helpful in growing my photo ID business. Products and machines that I usually check online were all here from India and China and it helped me experience these first-hand before I decide to purchase them.”

Also visiting the fair was Bharat Damani, vice president, Business Development (South Asia), Arlon who said, “Media Expo is an excellent platform as everyone worthwhile doing business with, is present here. Evaluating the healthy response and visitor footfall this year, we hope to be part of the next edition in Delhi.” The next edition of the show is slated to take place in the capital city from 25 to 27 July 2015 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
