DuPont has announced a collaboration with Greentex for the Printing United show.

DuPont, a global name in digital inkjet inks with over 30 years of innovation with its Artistri ink products, has announced a collaboration with Greentex for the Printing United show. Fabrics produced by Greentex with polyester PCR (post-consumer recycled content), printed with Artistri water-based pigment inks were displayed at the show.

Committed to lowering the environmental impact of textile production, Greentex uses recycled materials to develop innovative and differentiated products that can be recycled after being printed. Greentex aims to provide innovative solutions for fashion and home textile applications empowering and inspiring designers, creators, and entrepreneurs who strive to change the world for the better today and tomorrow.

“Greentex is creating a world where fashion, textiles, and design can coexist with nature. We use eco-friendly and ethical business practices to develop our products, that can be recycled again when disposed of after printing. The pigment printing shows a clear match with the sustainability aspects, in a way that uses less energy and water in the process. The quality of the ink plays a significant role in the final print result, and DuPont Artistri P2700 demonstrates outstanding quality while complying with lower environmental footprint requirements,” said Steven Amitai, general manager of Greentex.

“Digital printing with pigment inks is gaining more space in textile printing due to minimal water usage which means a lower environmental footprint, as it does not require steaming and washing steps in the printing process. We are committed to develop ink innovations that support sustainability in textile printing and since our pigment inks are granted the OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT certification, with ZDHC MRSL Conformance Level 3, and Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification, it helps enable safer work environments for textile printers. DuPont’s new ink developments strengthen our commitment to pigment inks as the sustainable choice and as our vision for the future of textile digital printing,” said Gabriela Kim, Global Marketing Manager, DuPont Artistri Digital Inks.

Artistri P2700 pigment inks for roll-to-roll printers offer best-in-class color gamut with deep, rich blacks and outstanding color saturation, meeting the needs of quality conscious textile printers. Because of its excellent wet and dry crock performance, it is suitable for a variety of applications from apparel to home furnishings. The combination of a more sustainable fabric with Artistri Pigment inks contribute to minimizing the environmental footprint of the textile industry.
