At Screen Print India 2016, Indigo Print Smart displayed Voran DPY 1802 – a sublimation printer for the textile segment. The company is a manufacturer and supplier of printing solutions under the brand name Formujet. Speaking to Indian Printer & Publisher, Shashank Ruiwale, president of Indigo Print Smart, said, “Indigo Print Smart has been delivering solutions for digital printing for the last 27 years. We offer a diverse product range in office printing, photo printing, textile and coding and marking solutions with digital press and consumables developed in-house by a team with technical expertise.”

In order to reach textile and digital companies we have displayed a large format solution – Voran DPY 1802 sublimation printer ink. It consists of two piezoelectric heads which can print on 72-inch paper width at a speed of 36 square metres an hour. Once the design is printed on paper, it is transferred to the garment.

Talking about how the sublimation process is unique for screen print, Ruiwale said, “Basically, screen printing which is a predominant way of printing on fabrics and sublimation is a part of digital printing. The limitation to superimpose colors by Screen Printing is not applicable to digital printing – a printer can have the flexibility to print anything according to the design. As superimposition of colors is possible in digital printing, it can generate around 16,000 varying shades which can be printed on a polyester garment,” Ruiwale concludes.
