At Print Expo, Nippon Color is promoting Cron’s offset and flexo CTP machines along with its own CTP plates.

In its inaugural presence at the PrintExpo 2023 in Chennai, Nippon Color, a provider to the pre-press segment in the Indian printing industry, promoted Cron’s offset and flexo CTP machines along with its own CTcP plates and double layer thermal plates besides cracking a few deals.

Terming the three-day expo as a highly fruitful experience, Akshat Pardiwala, COO, Nippon Color said, “The event’s success was evident through our interactions with numerous company decision-makers, who approached us with substantial inquiries. With a legacy dating to 1972, we were already familiar with many print service providers. However, what truly invigorated us was the opportunity to connect with a host of new potential clients not only from Chennai but also from various other regions in South India.”

The CTcP plates shown at the expo can generate over 100,000 impressions as a baseline and can be further extended to 300,000 impressions with baking. The double-layer thermal plates with their exceptional quality output are compatible even with UV inks. “In the realm of Cron CTP machines, they shine as an incredibly cost-effective solution. Their minimal maintenance requirements and reduced downtime significantly contribute to operational efficiency,” said Pardiwala.

During the expo, Nippon Color finalized four significant deals involving CTP machines, comprising two thermal CTP machines and two CTcP machines, all bundled with Nippon Color’s plates. “These clients are projected to consume an estimated monthly average of 50,000 square meters of plates from our offerings,” said Pardiwala.

With efforts to align with sustainability within the industry, Nippon Color is looking forward to expanding its portfolio to include innovative digital printing and finishing solutions, effectively removing the necessity for plates and dies.
