Valco Melton, a leading supplier of adhesive dispensing equipment and quality assurance systems to the converting industries showcased a wide range of its products at Pamex 2015. The microgluer from GMS attracted good enquiries during the four-day event. The GMS microgluer creates self-mailers in C, V and Z fold formats and folds, glues and perforates in one operation. Last year, Valco Melton acquired the assets of California-based Gluing Machinery & Systems (GMS). The move was made as part of Valco Melton’s strategy to expand its scope of offerings to customers in the print finishing and folding carton industries. “We had a busy Pamex with good response towards all our products especially the microgluer,” said Ravi Kiran, director, Valco Melton India.

Moreover, on display at Pamex was D4-e Melters which is ideally suited for a range of packaging, paper converting, graphic arts, non-wovens, and product assembly industries. Specific applications include spray, ribbon coating, direct contact, and high-speed jetting adhesive dispensing guns. Velco Melton also promoted its adhesive system pattern control. MCP-4P is a full-featured adhesive system pattern control ideal for the packaging industry. The MCP-4P is suited for packaging applications including palletizing, case and carton sealing and erection, graphic arts, or any variable speed requirements.

Talking about the Indian market from Valco Melton’s point of view, Bob Taylor, general manager of Valco Melton India said the company’s growth in India has been very robust given the fact that full-fledged operations began only five years ago. “We have added more staff every year, have acquired new customers and expanded our reach in India. Our association with Times of India where we provided web gluing solutions to the newspaper has been a highlight of our time in India. We remain very positive about the market here,” Taylor said. Overall, both Kumar and Taylor said that Pamex was a successfor them asthey got to meet a lot of different kind of customers from commercial printers to newspaper printers to packaging professionals.
