Stallion Innovative Machines, a company based out of Mumbai, offers a wide range of postpress solutions starting from stitching to cutting for the book manufacturers. With an in-house designing and manufacturing facility, the company manufactures all its products at its Andheri East unit with focus on promoting ‘Make in India’ in the worldwide market. The company recently added a cutting line to its stitchmaster, foldmaster and square machine, which is programmed for wire stitching, folding and edge squaring at the PrintPack exhibition.

Alhad Gandre of Stallion Innovative Machines said, “By adding a cutting line to this machine, we have been able to offer a one-stop solution to our customers and now we are also planning to introduce new machines for trimming and separation of books, which we plan to display at the PAMEX exhibition in Mumbai.” The product range of the company includes machines for stitching, taping, binding, folding, pinning, cutting and gluing, gumming, etc. “We have recently tied up with Duerkopp Adler, a company specializing in the manufacturing of sewing machines, to offer the best to the industry,” asserted Gandre.

Gandre further added, “Amongst the Indian manufacturers, we have built very different and user-friendly technology, which is competitive as well as economical without compromising on quality and components. Although some of our machines are four times expensive than the products already existing in the market but due to their superior quality, the industry has adopted the same. In this regard, the company’s manual wire stitching machine, PINmaster, which is highly expensive offer unbeatable quality and performance, makes it stand apart from others. Due to long life and high consistency, the machine is well adapted by the market as we are offering European standards at competitive prices.”

“We have recently tied up with Duerkopp Adler, a company specializing in the manufacturing of sewing machines, to offer the best to the industry.”

Apart from PINmaster, the other machine that was on display at PrintPack included the M19 Ties up with Duerkopp Adler for sewing machines Stallion eyeing the US market STITCHmaster, which is a heavy duty wire stitching machine, with a speed of 20 sections per minute and can take book thickness of 20 mm. The machine has been developed in technical collaboration with the US-based DeLuxe Stitcher Company. Also on display was the M30 STITCHmaster, which is a programmable wire stitching machine that has also been developed in collaboration with DeLuxe Stitcher Company. The M30 has a speed of 20 sections per minute but can take book thickness of 30 mm. It is ideal for thick works like business forms and ticket books.

Sharing the response received at PrintPack, Gandre informed, “Being a GC member of Indian Printing, Packaging and Allied Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (IPAMA), we thought of postponing the event due to the sudden announcement of demonetization and as a participant of the event, I was also skeptical about the response and footfall but we are enlightened with the response that we received. We booked many orders and also received many serious enquiries, which we expect to be fruitful for our company.”

The products of Stallion are not only on heavy demand in India but, according to Gandre, they cater to a niche market even in Europe and other emerging markets. Talking about the market, Gandre said, “The market is growing and thus we also plan to expand our product portfolio and market share to cater to the growing needs of the industry. I am proud to say that we not only supply to African countries or underdeveloped or developing countries but also to developed countries in Europe. We soon plan to foray into the US market.” The company has also tied up with Ireland-based Pro-Bindree for its sales in worldwide markets.
