From Gujarat and Rajasthan in the west and northwest to Tamil Nadu and Andhra in the south to Nagaland in the northeast, there has been a series of Ricoh digital press installations by Monotech Systems, a manufacturer and solution provider for the printing and packaging industry, over the past three weeks.
The machines include Ricoh Pro C7200X, Ricoh Pro C9200 and Ricoh Pro 8300S. The clients are Tirupur’s Yaanji DigiTech, Kalaburagi-based Somu Digital, Surat’s JN Digital, Jodhpur’s Best Offset, Guntur’s Impress Advertising and Graphic India of Dimapur – all looking to service their growing client base in a more efficient manner and upgrade quality.
Yaanji DigiTech boosts print volume and quality

Located in the knitwear capital of India, Tirupur, Yaanji DigiTech has a client base of garment manufacturers, importers and exporters. It offers high-quality prints for different applications such as tags, fliers, catalogs, etc. To meet client demands for increased print volume and quality, Yaanji invested in a Pro C7200X.
Rob Starc, 25, managing director of Yaanji Digi Tech, said. “I am young. My company is also barely one-and-a-half years old in the market. In this short span of time, we have achieved a lot. We have more than 200 garment companies in our client list,” he says.
“Like Surat, Tirupur is a garment hub, particularly for knitwear. Seeing the emerging business prospects and to serve garment companies with their print requirement, we started with our first investment in a Konica Minolta AccurioPress, which is running now in our production facility.”
As its client base increased, Starc needed to add another digital production press to his production setup. “We rushed to Monotech and found the right machine for the right job—the Ricoh Pro C7200X, an advanced and versatile machine with high production speed, quality prints and expanded color gamut,” he adds.
The Pro C7200X Graphic Arts Edition color digital production press is engineered to run for delivering premium prints at a speed of 85 pages per minute (ppm), offering a resolution of 2400×4800 dpi. It can take up a broad range of diverse stocks up to 360 gsm. The press has advanced features such as a ‘fifth toner station’ for using special colors like ‘white’ metallic, neon, clear and other invisible ink options.
Yaanji DigiTech’s products include tags, catalogs, fliers, promotional posters, etc. Starc says, “Demands for higher volume and quality in prints keep increasing. A single machine could never meet the requirement and so added the new Ricoh Pro C7200X.”

Guntur’s Impress Advertising aims big

Guntur’s Impress Advertising Media has also got a new Ricoh Pro C7200X digital press to its existing machine portfolio, which consists of a Ricoh Pro 8310 and other machines.
Since its establishment in the year 2001, Impress Advertising Media has grown several-fold and into different segments. Movva Hari Babu, proprietor, Impress Adverting Media, said, “We started our printing business two decades ago as a digital large-format or signage printing shop cum a newspaper classified ad agency at Arundelpet in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.” Following growing market trends and new developments in the sector, we eventually switched to commercial printing.”
When Impress Advertising Media worked for a handful of reputed newspapers such as the The Hindu, Eenadu, Andhra Jyothi and others, they came to know that demands for commercial printing from their clients were growing. So they started a commercial printing division with the installation of a line of digital presses, including a Konica Minolta Bizhub Press C1060 and a Ricoh Pro 8310, backed by a team of around dozen printing professionals including two graphic designers.
“Though we have been the user of the Ricoh Pro 8310, which is a black & white cut-sheet press, we had the feeling to add yet another advanced and versatile Ricoh production digital press in our portfolio for sharp and high-textured color graphics,” Babu said. He continued, “After that, we decided to get one from Monotech Systems, whom we know well and trust its products and after-sales support. This is how we purchased the production workhorse—the Ricoh Pro C7200X Graphic Arts Edition.”
Babu said the procurement of the Ricoh Pro C7200X with white ink toner has changed the way they used to work earlier. “We are now empowered to increase our production speed and color print quality. Our growth trajectory is now pointed at capturing additional high-end photo album printing for customers from different parts of Andhra Pradesh.”
The main areas that have been enhanced after the Ricoh Pro C7200X was installed are coffee table books, photo albums, pamphlets, brochures, etc.
Harnessing greater efficiency in high-end graphic printing is the main objective of Impress Advertising Media. Babu says they are now pulling up their sleeves to exploit the capability of the press.
