Data B Mailservice has strengthened its delivery of high volume color inkjet by investing in a Ricoh Pro VC20000 color continuous feed inkjet press.

The company said that due to the single engine duplex concept, the Ricoh Pro VC20000 has a small footprint and can produce double-sided full color at a speed of 150 meters per minute. Liana Willems-Klaster, director Data B Mailservice, said, “Print remains important, in addition to all digital channels. It remains relevant but this requires us to continue to operate efficiently. This is particularly so in our transactional mail market as competition is fierce. Investment in the new continuous feed Ricoh Pro VC20000 puts us ahead of the curve once again. It is a very compact system that offers high print quality at a very attractive cost. We were immediately convinced when we saw it at Ricoh’s European Customer Experience Centre. Other parties cannot compete with its price and quality ratio.”

The Dutch cross media specialist, that delivers comprehensive package of digital services, began its successful switch to full color inkjet printing in 2012 with the installation of a Ricoh IP5000.

A second IP5000 followed and was later replaced by a Ricoh Pro VC60000 high volume inkjet production system. Willems-Klaster added, “We made the next step in quality with the Pro VC60000. The shift in print volumes means that, in addition to our specialism in transactional mail, we now also produce more applications including leaflets.”

Sander Sondaal, director of commercial print sales at Ricoh Europe’s Commercial and Industrial Printing Group, said, “This is exactly why we at Ricoh continue to innovate with inkjet. Only in this way can we and our clients help to make a difference in the rapidly changing market.”
