The dates for the eighth edition of Publishing Next, the annual conference on the future of publishing, have been announced. This year the conference will spread over four days—19-22 September 2019—and will be held at the Goa Science Centre, Miramar (Panaji), Goa.

During this edition the sessions will revisit the basic tenets of publishing. There will be masterclasses on editing, book production and the marketing of books; open mic sessions on the author-editor relationship, and on book reviews; and panel discussions on book retail, and on collaborations between publishers. Speakers who have already confirmed their participation include Jerry Pinto (author and translator), Ravi Singh (Publisher, Speaking Tiger), Meethil Momaya (Co-Owner, Trilogy Library and Bookstore), Manish Purohit (Founder, AuthorsUpfront), Vinutha Mallya (Assistant Features Editor at Bennett Coleman and Co.
