Two print service providers, one in north Mumbai and another in south Mumbai, have recently installed Konica Minolta AccurioPress C2070 digital printer to add to their digital printing capabilities. Kamal Print House in the northern Mumbai business hub of Sakinaka has added the Konica Minolta AccurioPress C2070 to complement its offset operations while Print Plaza, a fully digital print service provider, based in southern Mumbai’s business district of Fort, has added the press to enhance its digital printing capacity to cater to the rising volumes that they have witnessed in recent past.
Kamal Print House has two Komori offset presses, one 2-color and one 4-color, and has added the Konica Minolta digital press to service their client’s short-run job requirements. Kamal Print House prints magazines, booklets, brochures, envelops, invitation cards, etc., and services only corporate clients in areas such as banking, insurance, finance and pharmaceutical. It operates from two galas with combined area of 4,000 square foot in Jai Mahavir Industrial estate.
“Although most of our volumes are generated from the offset work, we went for Konica Minolta because we also were getting substantial amount of short-run jobs. Currently, we are printing about 60,000 impressions every month,” says Girsih Dhadhi, proprietor of Kamal Print House.
The AccurioPress C2070 is a high-speed digital printing press with maximum speed of up to 71 ppm. It accepts paper sizes up to 13 inch x 19.2 inch and weights up to 350 gsm, with envelope printing at rated speed. It has a resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi.
The printer at Print Plaza was commissioned in early September and has managed to notch up good print volumes of close to 30,000 impressions in one month of operation. This is the second Konica Minolta for Print Plaza and it already has been using a bizhub PRO C6501 since last four years. Being a thriving business area, Fort has a lot of eateries, which are one of Print Plaza’s important customers.
“With the help of the new AccurioPress C2070 press, we are able to print on a variety of substrates, such as art paper and textured paper. This has helped us to offer better service to our customers,” says Keyur Gada, who along with his brother Ankit Gada has been managing all the operations at Print Plaza.
Being a long time user of Konica Minolta presses, Gada says that working with them has been an excellent experience and since now Konica Minolta is directly handling the sales and services, the experience has improved further.
