Roland DG to debut VersaUV S-Series range of flatbed and belt UV-LED printers at FESPA
Roland DG presents ultimate quality & versatility in UV printing with VersaUV S-Series at FESPA

Roland DG will debut VersaUV S-Series range of flatbed and belt UV-LED printers at upcoming FESPA. Comprising seven models, the VersaUV S-Series is available in a range of configurations and sizes to suit production environments and requirements of all types. This range of flatbeds and belts prints graphics, photographic images, textures and embossed effects onto any substrate or object, rigid or flexible, up to 200 mm in height.

“The VersaUV S-Series represents true choice and flexibility to fit into any workflow – ideal as a next step for existing users of benchtop UV printers, businesses with ambition looking to enter the world of UV printing or those with more ‘industrial’ scale requirements. Whether users are looking for a robust flatbed to direct print onto rigid substrates and objects, or the option to print flexible, roll-to-roll or rigid materials and items with a belt system, the versatility of configurations means that there is a new VersaUV S-Series for everyone and the range of exciting applications is really only limited by the user’s imagination,” Paul Willems, head of business development and product management EMEA for Roland DG explains.

The VersaUV S-Series runs Roland ECO-UV ink which is instantly cured with low- temperature UV lamps for direct print onto almost any substrate or object either rigid or flexible, from leather and canvas to wood, plastic, glass, metals, acrylic, banner, vinyl, paper and more. White ink adds highlights or a base layer for dark colours and Gloss creates high-shine or matt finishes. Gloss layers can also produce textured effects, braille or specialist markings for industrial applications – boosting value even further with unique and tactile finishes.

At FESPA, the Roland team will be running live demonstrations of the flatbed and belt models to highlight the full capabilities of the solution and showcase the innovative new Object Profiling Functionality (OPF). This enhancement enables the scanning and printing of objects of different heights within the same print run, offering users an even greater level of versatility.

Users also have a choice of RIP software; Roland VersaWorks Dual or Roland PrintStudio. Roland VersaWorks Dual is included as standard as part of the printer package.

For FESPA visitors with more modest production requirements, the Roland booth will also feature the VersaUV LEF-300 and LEF-200 UV-LED flatbed printers, plus its award-winning TrueVIS eco-solvent wide- format printer/cutter range, dye-sublimation print technology and a range of small print, cut and personalisation devices.
