Prabhuram Papers, a one-stop solution provider in book printing, is growing steadily with a 2-color 546 cut-off web offset machine and a 4-color 578 cut-off web offset machine from Ronald. Established in 2004 as a newsprint trading company, it transitioned to commercial printing in 2012 with an offset printing facility in Sector 63, Noida.
Today, it offers end-to-end printing solutions for a wide range of requirements, including diaries and notebooks, higher education and school books, children’s books, magazines, calendars, and more.
During our visit to the factory on a sunny winter afternoon, we met Raghav Agarwal, chief technology officer and the younger son of Mohit Agarwal, founder of Prabhuram Papers. He said that the company’s technology portfolio and service offerings are expanding steadily, with several new growth opportunities on the horizon. Originally focused on newspapers, magazines, and competition books, Prabhuram Papers has since specialized in book printing and binding.
Agarwal explained that the Ronald machinery, combined with equipment from NBG and Komori, has been instrumental in achieving high quality and efficiency. “Despite growing competition, I don’t see demand stagnating. Our venture into children’s books has strengthened our investment in 4-color presses. The color presses have also opened new opportunities in magazines, calendars, diaries, and marketing collateral,” he said.
Although Agarwal has been with the business for only a year and a half, he has played a key role in implementing the right technology for the right application. The decision to install the Komori press, for example, was his own. He has strengthened Prabhuram Papers’ brand identity by designing the company’s logo. With a background in engineering, his decision to join the family business reflects his deep interest in machines, new technologies, and process optimization.
According to him, Ronald Web Offset is a trusted name in book printing in India. The machines are known for their high performance and minimal downtime. They can print books of various sizes without compromising print quality. Thanks to these features, they are widely used for periodicals, books, circulars, commercial printing, and textbooks.
Prabhuram’s infrastructure, which includes Ronald machines, consists of a 4-color 578 cut-off web offset machine from NBG and a 4-color Komori GL-37 sheet-fed machine installed in April 2025. Its fully integrated binding facility features a 6-clamp and a single-clamp perfect binder from Electromec, a folding machine from Stahl, a center-pinning machine, a three-knife trimmer, two cutting machines, a sewing machine from Polygraph, and a nipping machine from Joy. With its in-house production capabilities, advanced service facilities, and skilled workforce, the company delivers cost-effective solutions tailored to clients’ specific needs.
Discussing future plans, Agarwal said that the company has already acquired land to expand into packaging, focusing on rigid boxes and monocartons. “Demand for packaging is rising,” he said. “While I don’t see the book printing industry declining anytime soon, it would be unwise not to venture into a field where growth looks promising. Along with the expansion, we are also considering investment in a digital press, as short-run printing requests keep increasing.”
