In 2025, binding specialist Bindwel continued to expand its presence across India with several key installations in the southern region, particularly in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. As printers in this part of the country look to modernize their operations and improve turnaround times, Bindwel’s perfect binding solutions have proven to be a reliable choice. The machines have helped print businesses address challenges such as production bottlenecks, increased demand, and quality consistency.
Bindwel’s machines were installed at several prominent printing facilities, allowing the printers to scale up production, improve efficiency, and meet growing market demands.
Among the notable installations are a Freedom 5K at Nagendra Enterprises near Vijayawada, a BW@2500 Epic at Regal Print Services in Bangalore, and a BW@2500 V24 at Vidya Bharati Press, also in Bangalore.
Nagendra Enterprises
Nagendra Enterprises, a commercial printer in Gudivada, a small town near Vijayawada, recently installed a Bindwel Freedom 5K, a 12-clamp perfect binder. According to Padmaja Movva, as demand increased and expectations around quality and turnaround increased, the existing 6-clamp binder from Bindwel could not bear the load.

“We were operating from 6 am to 9 pm every day, including Sundays, just to meet the demand. It was taking a toll on both productivity and our team,” Movva said. The new Bindwel machine solved the issue for Movva. “We’ve gone from working 15 hours a day to just 9 am to 6 pm shifts. Sundays are now off. It’s a huge relief,” says Movva.
The company’s service portfolio includes books, magazines, catalogues, calendars, pamphlets, and even printed carton boxes.
With a workforce of 75 people, the production facility in Vijayawada includes a Cron CTCP 128 for pre-press operations, a couple of Heidelberg sheetfed offset presses, a Sakurai single colour machine, Fast 300, and a Manugraph Cityline Express for their printing operations; and one three-knife trimmer, 6-clamp perfect binder, and 12-clamp perfect binder from Bindwel.
Nagendra Enterprises’ association with Bindwel dates nearly two decades, when Movva’s grandfather invested in a Welbound 6 Clamp machine in 2004.
“It was because of the support and personal involvement from the team of Bindwel that we never looked beyond the company.” According to her, the longstanding relationship with Bindwel, the support, and the machine’s capability were the reasons why they installed the new Freedom 5K.
Regal Print Services
Bangalore-based Regal Print Services installed the Bindwel BW@2500 Epic prefect binder based on its reliability, speed, and quality. According to Venkatesh M, the founder of Regal Print Services, the investment was targeted to overcome various bottlenecks, ranging from inconsistent service support to longer turnaround times and quality inconsistencies.

Regal Print Service is equipped with five offset printing presses, comprising two 2-color, two single-color, and one 4-color machines. The company specializes in private publications and textbook printing, providing to a diverse clientele that includes educational institutions, local businesses, and prominent publishers.
Asked why he chose Bindwel, Venkatesh highlighted the production speed and output quality of the BW@2500. “We needed a solution that could keep up with the volume and deliver consistently high-quality output,” he said. “Bindwel provided exactly that.”
With calibrated book clamps and a thickness indicator, the perfect binding machine runs at a speed of 2,500 cycles an hour. It can bind books ranging from 150 mm x 100 mm to 440 mm x 230 mm. The smart human-machine interface (HMI) control system provides all the information on settings and production, helping to improve efficiency.
A recent project that showcased the capabilities of the new machine involved the printing and binding of 50,000 copies each of PUC-level Chemistry textbooks for Jeevith Publications, under Subash Agency. The stakes were high, with a tight delivery window of just 5 days. “The versatility of the Bindwel helped,” he said.
Venkatesh described the service team as proactive, responsive, and highly skilled in addressing technical needs. According to him, for a business where uptime is critical, this level of support has proven to be invaluable.
Vidya Bharati Press
Vidya Bharati Press, the printing wing of the Sri Sringeri Sharada Peetham Trust, recently installed the Bindwel BW@2500 V24 perfect binding machine at its facility in Bangalore. Known for publishing religious texts, magazines, souvenirs, and invitations, the not-for-profit press propagates Sanatana Dharma and the Advaita philosophy of Adi Shankaracharya.

Spanning an area of 3,200 square feet, Vidya Bharati Press is equipped with single-color, double-color, and four-color Heidelberg offset machines, along with a Polar cutting machine, Shoei folding machine, ADAST guillotine cutter, and a Printograph book stitcher. The press primarily serves the spiritual and religious market, distributing its publications through branch muths and major book houses across the country.
Before the Bindwel installation, Vidya Bharati Press relied on a decades-old Sulby MKII machine, which limited its binding output to just 500-600 books per day. This created bottlenecks in the production process, especially when large volumes needed to be completed in short timeframes.
After evaluating their options, the press opted for Bindwel’s BW@2500 V24 because of its ability to produce up to 2,500 books per hour and the consistent quality it delivers. According to the trust, the production that was once limited to under 1,000 books per day has now scaled up to 2,000–2,500 books per hour.
The spokesperson said the key to the improved output is Bindwel’s advanced features, including the FPLP gadget and ALC (Automatic Level Control). The FPLP gadget resolved a recurring issue the press faced: the opening of the first and last pages of bound books. Meanwhile, the ALC feature has optimized adhesive usage, keeping glue consumption in check and enhancing overall efficiency.
According to the spokesperson, the Bindwel BW@2500 V24 has empowered Vidya Bharati Press to align its operations with its spiritual mission, significantly enhancing productivity, quality, and confidence in delivery.
