Bindwel, India’s leading bookbinding technology company, is hosting its Monsoon Open House from 28 July to 2 August 2025 at its Bengaluru factory. The theme this year is ‘explore, engage, evolve.’

More than just a machine showcase, this open house is set to tackle today’s most pressing bookbinding issues – especially those arising from evolving material and adhesive formulations. As suppliers alter compositions to reduce costs, printers are grappling with poor handling, weaker spines, and unpredictable results.

“The reality is, fillers in both paper and adhesives are becoming a nightmare,” says P. Sajith, managing director, Bindwel. “Our customers need clarity, not confusion. That’s exactly what this open house is about.”

Behind-the-scenes access involves interaction with the manufacturing team, exploration of mechanical assemblies, and understanding the precision behind every Bindwel machine.

There will be a gallery of bookbinding failures—each accompanied by an in-depth explanation of the root cause, whether it’s fiber cracking, improper adhesive curing, or grain misalignment.

Adhesive & coating insights: In collaboration with Henkel, the event will explore how advances in chemistry can resolve durability issues in modern bookbinding.

There will be BindRight program. Updates to this success-focused initiative will also be unveiled, allowing wider access to quality-driven binding process audits.

With India remaining the world’s largest consumer of printed books in multiple languages, the demands on printers have never been higher. Short runs, quick turnarounds, and durable finishes are the new normal. Bindwel’s open house responds to this with solutions built for agility, efficiency, and lasting quality. “We believe the future of bookbinding will be shaped on the shop floor – not in brochures,” Sajith adds.

The Bindwel Monsoon Open House is open to printers, publishers, educators, and media by prior appointment only. Personalized factory walkthroughs will ensure direct interaction and hands-on experience. To register, mail to avinash@bindwel.com
