Bihar has got its first green paper mill, ‘Saha and Bright Paper Private Limited’, which was inaugurated in Patna’s Rukunpura by state industry minister Nitish Mishra early in July, local media reported.

This unit, designed for the production of multi-layer kraft paper, will consume 200 tons of paper scrap every day, Prabhat Khabar reported.  The project is likely to provide direct employment to 150 people and indirect employment to about 5,000.

Saha & Bright Paper Private Limited was established in the year 1998 by Rajeev Kumar, Manish Kumar and Vikas Kumar.

Mishra said for the first time in the state, a green technology-based paper mill of this level was being started, which will become an inspiration for investors and industrial houses in the coming times.
