Markzware, a leader in data conversion and quality control software for the printing and publishing industries, has announced the release of its updated product line that is now fully compatible with QuarkXPress 2025 for macOS. As with all of Markzware technology, no host applications are needed. The upgrade is also included in MarkzPortal (beta), Markzware’s SaaS document conversion and preflight solution.
OmniMarkz: Expanded Compatibility and AI Integration
OmniMarkz now supports QuarkXPress 2025, broadening its file conversion capabilities. In addition to older QuarkXPress files, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and more, this stand-alone application now also supports the latest version of Quark’s offering. The update also introduces Generative AI information and Creator details in the Image Frames section. With these enhanced document file details, OmniMarkz offers more user value for making better workflow decisions. A notable improvement is the enhanced handling of Layer Comps in InDesign files, ensuring smoother workflow integration.
QXPMarkz: Advanced InDesign support and text handling
QXPMarkz receives a major upgrade with support for QuarkXPress 2025. Users will benefit from new capabilities, which include improved footnote conversion and endnotes. Moreover, the software now accommodates Table Cell Style Overrides, offering greater flexibility in document conversion.
FlightCheck: Enhanced quality control for modern design workflows
FlightCheck extends its support to QuarkXPress 2025, adding more value for users. Creators will find this stand-alone quality assurance tool, which not only verifies QuarkXPress files, but also assesses and manages files created in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Publisher, and PDF formats.
A key improvement is the ability to check placed PSD files for Generative AI data, which can pose several challenges, including image quality and consistency, copyright issues, and maintaining brand authenticity, to name a few. This improvement reflects the growing importance of AI in design workflows and provides users the ability to make better design document decisions. This important update also adds Generative AI and Creator information to the Image Frames section, providing users with critical metadata for their design assets.
