Agarwal Print Media, located in Meerut’s Janta Nagar area, installed an 8-color perfector from RMGT in November 2024. The 8-color RMGT 920PF-8 is said to be the first brand new 8-color perfector installation in Meerut.
About 85 kilometers Northeast of Delhi, the ring city in the National Capital Region has become a publishing and book production hub in the past three decades. Though owner Rajesh Agarwal started out by establishing Agarwal Offset Printers in the millennium year 2000, the commercial printer started another printing operation, Agarwal Print Media, in 2010.
Located just off Garh Road, between Ram Chandra Sahay’s outlet selling the city famous gazak (a winter delight) and Hotel Harmony Inn, the printer prints brochures, pamphlets, letterheads, notepads, diaries, question banks, and educational books for pre-primary and senior secondary classes. Mankind Pharma has been printing its monocartons with the company since 2002.
The two combined entities with a working area of 11,000 square feet – Agarwal Offset Printers and Agarwal Print Media – print about 7 lakh (700,000) sheets daily with a daily consumption of approximately 1,400 reams of paper. Its book publishing clients include Chitra Prakashan, Mastermind Publication, and Ajanta Publication, apart from Meerut’s local publishers.
The 8-color perfector is Agarwal Print Media’s fifth RMGT installation after installing four RMGT 920 ST 4CD multicolor sheetfed offset presses in 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2024, enhancing its already substantial capacity.
Rajesh Agarwal says, “We receive full cooperation from RMGT’s Indian supplier Provin Technos. The company is reliable and the quality and service provided by Provin is exceptional. The RMGT 920PF-8 has resulted in reduced labor, time and expenses in book printing for publishers. It has a good speed and assists us in providing better service to existing customers. Though there is an added benefit for old customers, it has also created a vacuum for new customers. We plan to install new binding and cutting machines and digital capacities to enhance operations.”
Agarwal’s eldest son Pranshul joined the company in 2023 after completing his MBA, while Suvansh, the younger son, who is still in college, has expressed his interest in joining the family business.
The RMGT 8-color perfector has improved production in multifarious ways, Pranshul Agarwal said, adding it has only been one month since the machine has been in production and it is too early to analyze customer response as it takes at least one financial year to work out everything.
Suvansh Agarwal said the family plans to visit PrintPack exhibition in Greater Noida from 1 – 5 February 2025 to explore the latest printing and finishing equipment. The printer will also visit the New Delhi World Book Fair from 1 – 9 February in New Delhi to interact with book publishers.
