IndiaCorr Expo & India Folding Carton — one of India’s most established events on corrugated case manufacturing, converting, package printing, box making, and folding carton segments — took place from 28-30 October at India Expo Mart and Center, Greater Noida.

The event’s vision was connecting face-to-face, building business relationships, networking, and learning from industry experts. This year, attendees got to experience new technologies, machinery, equipment, and other products and services from across the spectrum.

Many experts expressed that quality won over quantity when it comes to the visitors at the show, which saw a significant footfall. The visitors, most of whom were from the manufacturing and converting background, said the show intrigued them.

Bobst:  Sales inquiries and experiences

It wouldn’t be a carton show without industry giant Bobst, which received a good response from the very first day. The company did not bring any machinery but highlighted its enhanced graphic machinery. Bhavesh Pingle, business manager of the corrugated board business, was happy with the footfall. “We received several sales inquiries. Several converters using our machinery visited us and shared how fast they are growing. The entirety of the corrugated industry is growing rapidly now more than ever. A lot of discussions took place. Through video demos and brochures, we are trying to highlight our enhanced solutions about automation, quality, and productivity.”

Domino: First time at show

The maiden show of Domino was highly anticipated both by the company and the converters. The company’s expectations were fairly met by the quality inquiries. Exhibiting technology such as direct coding onto shipper cartons, print and apply labeling machine, and a thermal inkjet printer, the show was a major success for the printing solution provider.

Rambharath Kumar Mupalla, senior manager of business development, said, “We are participating at IndiaCorr Expo for the first time and it was a great experience. We were anticipating a great show and the same was delivered. We received a decent quality footfall and several serious inquiries.”

DGM: Plant visit for guests

With its plant just 15 minutes from the exhibition center, DGM, instead of bringing their machines to the show, arranged shuttle services for their customers and visitors for an on-site visit. The highlights of the company’s open house were Megafold and Technofold — both high-speed fully automatic folder gluers.

Director Puneet Aggarwal said, “We had three machines fully installed for display at our plant for any demonstration or job trial. We welcomed anyone curious about our new technology. Our team of technicians was all prepared to answer any queries that a client may have. Through the show, we aimed to penetrate the corrugated industry. We are well established in the folding carton segment and hope to have a similar standpoint in the corrugated segment as well.”
