After three years of zero participation in any expo, Provin Technos, the Indian distributor of LITHEC, RMGT, Miyakoshi, GEW, and UV energy returned to the event stage at Print Expo 2023 in Chennai. Without showing any of its principals’ machines at its stand, the conservative but reliable distributor highlighted the key features of the equipment in their roster at the expo.
Even though Provin has an excellent footprint in South India, it is aiming to expand its reach in this fast-growing market by meeting potential customers at the expo and continuing to spread its brand awareness. It is keen to share the successes of its recent customers who are early adopters of the new automation and sustainability trends in printing.

With a focus on productivity enhancement, sustainability, and easy operation, Provin says that it provides presses that are viable in return on investment and which have exceptional versatility for its Indian customers. “Whatever solutions we offer, they are sustainable, highly productive, and energy efficient, thereby making it economical as well. The top-of-the-line products from RMGT, Miyakoshi, and LITHEC all cater to the major three factors that we aim to provide our customers,” said Akshay Kaushal, executive director, of Provin Technos.
Highlighting the future of the printing industry Kaushal pointed out the current buoyant growth of the book printing industry in India. He says, “Due to the change in curricula and the introduction of the new syllabus, the publication and book printing segment is now going through an upward trend throughout the country. While the number of pages has been reduced per book and multiple books are being printed right now.”
With the installation of the second RMGT 9 series 8-color convertible perfector at Multivista Global in December 2022, Provin has four more multicolor press installations lined up in August and September. One each in Madurai and Chennai respectively and two presses in Delhi in September.
Discussing its demo center at Okhla and its importance, Kaushal said, “Generally in this segment, people are not very open about showcasing the machines and with Miyakoshi, it has always been special projects, with a specific configuration as directed by the customer. The purpose of establishing the demo center was to showcase the capability of the machine and give a first-hand experience to the customer in local production and demand conditions. With the physical experience of actual labels being produced at the demo center, they can decide on the machines before investing large sums in capital equipment.”
