Surat-based Klick Digital Press, a printing house specializing in printing, embossing, and 3D effects on photos, has installed a PixelGlow digital spot UV and foiling system. PixelGlow is a brand of Monotech Systems, a machine manufacturer and solution provider for the printing and packaging industry.

Klick Digital Press kicked off its business in professional photography in 1994. “Led by our founder Shri Bhavan, we started engaging in getting momentous memories printed in a chic manner. We launched ‘Silver Allied’ (darkroom process)—a color photo lab for printing and production of high-quality photos of different textures and sizes, right from passport size photos to wedding album photos,” said Pravan Navapara, partner, Klick Digital.

He adds, “Nowadays, clicking photos is as easy as breathing. One click of the shutter could capture hundreds of photographs which, however, lie unnoticeably on our smartphones and computers. Such concern eventually led us to take on experiments of creating photo books as the right place for those photographs to stay physically and delightfully. This is how we came into full photo book business, investing in a line of highly sophisticated photography, printing, and post-printing machines, among which is PixelGlow for special print enhancements.”

Having the right portfolio of advanced machines with a customer-oriented policy, Klick Digital Press introduced its brand ‘Klick Photo Book’ for printing and production of high-quality photo books for clientele comprising professional and amateur photographers, photo studios, dealers, etc. “Today, we are all set with a complete in-house facility equipped with high-end machines such as HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press to print wedding photo albums, coffee table books, mini books, and others. And we are fully jazzed up about any print enhancement to be done on PixelGlow spot UV and foiling system,” said Navapara.

Asked about a specific reason for choosing PixelGlow from Monotech Systems, he replied, “When we keenly observed and surveyed the way our customers increased their demands for print enhancements to a new level, we were pretty sure for the need of a new machine that could do two things—embossing and foil printing—equivalently in one machine. After an extensive search, we finally found PixelGlow at Monotech Systems. It turned out to be the right machine for both the applications we were looking for. That’s why we chose it.”

According to a press release, PixelGlow offers digital embellishment in substantial dimensions. The machine is based on variable drop technology with features like vacuum suction for flatbed and pin mechanism for material positioning. It is capable to take up a broad range of heavy and lightweight materials between 170 gsm and 500 gsm with thickness up to 0.5mm, depending on the nature of the media, for outstanding print enhancements in 600×4800 dpi.

On Monotech Systems’ after-sales service for PixelGlow, Navapara remarks, “In the post-installation of this digital enhancement machine, we got full support from Monotech Systems and their trained technical staff. They also trained our staff to carry out smooth and productive operations on the new machine.”
