Contex, a world provider in large format scanning, and Digitech systems, recently announced a summer bundle for the secure information management of large format scanned assets. For a limited time, customers who purchase any Contex HD Ultra X or IQ Quattro X large format scanner can receive a license for Nextimage scanning software and three months of access to the PaperVision service, both free of charge. The introductory offer — a savings of more than US$ 1,000 — is available till 31 August, 2023.

“Information security is in a spotlight,” comments Christina Robbins, vice president of strategic communications, Digitech Systems, “and paper records are at risk. When Contex scanners are used in combination with PaperVision, important records can be quickly and automatically protected by a company’s security protocols. This special promotion bundle puts everything needed for better security within reach for every business with hard copy records.”

“The scanning industry is as strong as ever, as more companies are prioritizing the digitization of their hard-copy assets for remote access. By collaborating with Digitech Systems, Contex customers can have a seamless method for securely storing these valuable assets,” comments Steve Blanken, general manager, Contex.

Secure Archive of Large Format Scanned Assets

The secure archive of large format scanned assets is made possible with Digitech’s PaperVision service and Contex scanners with Nextimage scanning software. PaperVision is a service that uses metadata — created from a variety of options including the file name, other file properties, and even the folder structure where the document originated — to immediately protect the scanned documents according to a company’s established access rules and IT security protocols, says a press release.

Reprographic shops, architectural firms, document management providers, and more can benefit from the scan and archive solution from Contex and Digitech Systems. The combined solution is ideal for those operating from the office or remote locations.

According to the press release, for the summer bundle, customers can choose between the Contex IQ Quattro X or the HD Ultra X large format scanners. The IQ Quattro X scanner series focuses on quality results for everyday scanning projects and provides sharp, clear images on the most detailed documents. The IQ Quattro X, available in 36- and 44-inch widths, is recommended for high-quality scans or copies of large GIS maps, site plans, engineering drawings, blueprints, architectural renderings, and many other technical documents.

The HD Ultra X is the market’s most efficient and flexible large format scanner for technical experts, graphical professionals, archivists, reprographic shops, and more. The powerhouse large format scanner captures every detail of maps, drawings, posters, newspapers, or fine art at a record speed of 17.8 ips. The HD Ultra X is a CCD-based scanner and comes in 36-, 42-, and 60-inch widths.
