New Delhi-based Balaji Digital has procured a new Ricoh digital press to enable it to deliver enhanced graphics and a larger print volume. The new Ricoh Pro C7200X color digital production press now running at the company’s production facility is supplied and installed by Monotech Systems, a machine manufacturer and solution provider in the printing and packaging industry.
Founded in 2013 by B Shyam Babu, Balaji Digital is in the business of high-end commercial printing for clients from different industrial clusters and diverse walks of life. Remembering the early days, Babu says, “I have been in the printing & packaging industry for about three decades. After working in some companies, I eventually decided to start something of my own—that’s how Balaji Digital was born.”
Babu, who was earlier in Andhra Pradesh, moved to New Delhi in the early 1900s. “It was a transition phase for me getting into a new avatar of a business owner. Right from day one, we at Balaji Digital decided to offer unique and premium graphic prints or finished products that stand apart from the crowd. For that, we wanted high-end machines and technologies.”
The Ricoh Pro C9100 was Bajaji’s first digital production press. “There were specific reasons why we chose Ricoh over any other digital production machines readily available in the market. The Ricoh digital presses are ‘workhorses’ designed perfectly for high-volume production compatible on a broad range of heavy stocks,” Babu says.
“We engage in printing and production according to what our customers want, right from business cards up to high-quality marketing materials,” says Babu, adding, “To meet the instant requirement of our customers, we were exploring the option of purchasing another digital production press.”
Babu said being a long-term Ricoh customer, they relied on this brand, machine & technology. “So, we opted for the Pro C7200X from Monotech Systems.” An ideally engineered digital production press, the Ricoh Pro C7200X is a heavy-duty machine to print up to 85 pages per minute (ppm). It can take up a wide range of stocks to 360 gsm with a print resolution of 2400 x 4800 dpi. The press boasts unique features such as a fifth toner station for white, clear, metallic, neon, and invisible inks.
Backed by a team of dozen well-experienced printing and production professionals, Balaji Digital has gained new momentum in offering high-quality prints following the installation of the new Ricoh Pro C7200X Graphic Arts Edition. “We are so grateful to the machine for giving us a new strength to withstand the pressure of demands for high volume prints from our clients and Monotech Systems for the after-sales support to the utmost satisfaction.”
