Recently, Heidelberg released news detailing the precautions that must be taken during the lockdown period for Heidelberg Stahlfolder equipment.
General Maintenance
â–ª Switch-off the machine from the main power-supply and disconnect all relevant supply
â–ª Check input voltage levels with the support of electrical professional before powering on the machine
â–ª Safeguard the machine from dust, rats/rodents with protective covering
â–ª Install traditional/glue mouse traps at the production Room
â–ª Remove all flammable, fume-generating solvents in surrounding equipment and store with caution
â–ª Dispose all waste produced by machine
Maintenance tips for Stahlfolder equipment
Feeder Station
• Clean the feeding unit completely with pressurized air
• Ensure the folding rollers are cleaned from ink, for better cleaning use surgical spirit or else use roller wash
• Use spray WD 40 or any other rust preventive spray on all metal parts such as, table guides, side frames & polished metal parts)
• Clean the feeding unit completely with pressurized air
• Ensure the folding rollers are cleaned from ink, for better cleaning use surgical spirit or else use roller wash
• Ensure proper gap is maintained between buckle rollers considering the long idle period. Make sure alteast one paper kept in between Fiesta stops (for roller pressure adjustment)
• Remove the perforation or slitter blades from the machine and keep it safely
• Lubricate buckle rollers manually with grease
• Use spray WD 40 or any other rust preventive spray on all metal parts
Buckle Unit (BUH station)
• Clean the feeding unit completely with pressurized air

• Ensure proper gap is maintained between folding rollers, considering the long idle period. Make sure alteast one paper kept in between Fiesta stops (for roller pressure adjustment)
• Lubricate the grease nipple
• Use spray WD 40 or any other rust preventive spray on all metal parts
Delivery unit
• Clean the delivery unit completely with pressurized air without any paper or paper pulp
• Lubricate the grease point and oil application areas on sliding parts
• Use spray WD 40 or any other rust preventive spray on all metal parts
