The innovative mRC-3D-system by Q.I. Press Controls (QIPC) helps printers worldwide with waste savings and makes their employees’ lives easier. QIPC, a Dutch specialist in measure and control equipment, recently received an order from the Indian printer Pudhari Publications in Kolhapur. The printer plans to use the mRC-3D system in its own printing plant. QIPC has also received an order from Sigmarq Technologies, an Indian press builder; they will install the mRC-3D system on a press that’s been build up in Kenya.
The mRC-3D system for color registration is claimed to have the fastest camera in the world; and it is able to measure accurately, regardless of the focus distance and distortions of the web. As a result, the response time is significantly reduced and large waste savings can be realized. By equipping the system with double sensors, the possibilities become twice as large and depth can be handled with more efficiency. This is very important in case of flutter, waves and creases in the webs.
Pudhari Publications has been in alliance with QIPC for quite some time; the most recent order is a result of this long-term cooperation. Talking about the benefits of the mRC-3D system, Dr Yogesh Jadav of Pudhari Publications says, “The cost for printing plants are consistently increasing. And we were looking for a way to control them. “Thanks to QIPC, we can realize savings in waste and simplify our production.”
An emerging Indian press builder, Sigmarq, is aware of the advantages of QIPC-systems and, therefore, favors them for its presses. “Sigmarq is growing,” says Rakeshkumar Dave, managing director of QIPC India. “In the near future, for example, they plan to launch a new high-speed newspaper press. In addition, our strong relationship with them offers us the possibility to grow along with them.” The four mRC-3D cameras ordered by Sigmarq will be installed on a press in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi. “That gives us an immediate entry into the growing African market,” explains Dave.
More efficient operation
Moreover, the mRC-3D system helps Sigmarq and Pudhari Publications to achieve their common goal of waste savings and better press performance. Dave adds, “Thanks to the mRC-3D-system, the user will get maximum control over the consumption of paper, ink and energy. In addition, higher quality printed material can be delivered and the accuracy and speed of the production process is increased thanks to the fully automated system.”
