A training program on Photoshop was organized on 10 July 2018 for diploma in printing technology students of Arasan Ganesan Polytechnic College, Sivakasi. R Sivakumar, a trainer and master in multimedia and graphics, was the resource person. In fact, for over a decade Sivakumar has been helping photographers and creative professionals get the most out of their software. Furthermore, he has taught Photoshop in almost every district in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
Dr. M Nandakumar presided over and inaugurated the training program. Likewise, G Venkateswaran, senior lecturer, Printing Technology welcomed the gathering. Sivakumar demonstrated various exercises in Photoshop in a simple and effective manner to all the second- and third-year printing students. The exercises included pencil art, creative image, color cast removal, creating passport photos, text effects, paste into, color change, collage, photo merge, clipping mask, bending objects, quick mask, sharpen image, creating decorative edges, image enhancement and tattoo image,
All the complex exercises were demonstrated through simple and minimal steps by Sivakumar. Additionally, the students were also asked to perform a few exercises in the training program. It helped them get a hands-on working of Photoshop.
