QuadTech presented its extensive portfolio of print quality and waste saving solutions at PrintPack India 2017 held from 4-8 February at the India Expo Centre, Greater Noida, Delhi NCR. Among the featured solutions were four new technologies introduced at drupa 2016, which promise consistently high color quality, reduced production time, waste reduction, and dramatically lowered consumable costs.

We met Vinodhkumar Balakrishnan at the QuadTech stand for a brief discussion on their new automation workflow technology as well as the response they are getting at the event. He explained that QuadTech’s modernized inspection system sets a new standard for fast, easy detection of print defects. The advanced 100% inspection technology has been “reimagined from the ground up,” based on user feedback, to create a better process for the detection and disposition of defects. The result is a powerful, remarkably intuitive tool that is built on QuadTech’s popular ICON integrated platform. 

The other solutions offered by QuadTech were the Autotron 2600 with ClearLogic register control system, Color Control with AccuCam, Register Guidance and Ribbon Control with MultiCam, Color Measurement with SpectralCam, Web Viewing System, and PDF Verification. 

Balakrishnan was happy with the response at the event and pointed out that color standardization is steadily gaining acceptance in India as interaction of Indian printers with overseas printing companies is increasing. He is confident of QuadTech retaining its identity as a unique provider of color management solutions in India.
