The Indian Printing Packaging and Allied Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (IPAMA) has elected a new team which will be in charge of Printpack 2017, its flagship print exhibition which is scheduled to take place from 4 to 8 February 2017 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. Prashant Vats, executive secretary, IPAMA said, “As the tenure of the earlier team had expired, we elected a new team.” The new team, elected for a period of two years, was chosen during a meeting of the governing council of IPAMA, held on 27 October 2016.
Industry veteran HV Sheth of Noida-based Sheth Printograph has been chosen as the new president, followed by four regional vice-presidents—PK Bhalla of Manugraph, Vinay Kumar Gupta of AEC Machinery, CN Ashok of Autoprint and Jaiveer Singh of Rotta Print India for the western, northern, southern and eastern regions, respectively.
Balkrishan Khindria of Memory Repro Systems is the new general secretary, followed by four joint secretaries. Satish Kaushik of Web Masters will be responsible for the western region, Naveen Gupta of Prakash Offset Machinery for northern region, Dayaker Reddy of Gutenberg Machinery for southern region and Iqbal Singh of Sond Associates will look after the eastern region. Dharmesh Arora of Fair Deal Engineers will be the new treasurer. The newly elected body has 24 governing council members.
HV Sheth, the new president, emphasized the need for technological upgradation, development and smooth coordination among the members of the association. He also highlighted the need to open an institute for imparting technical training for the betterment of the industry.
