Pune-based Image Offset, which prints academic books since 2008, is well-known for its quality and prompt service. The company meets the demands of book publishers like Gate Academy, Easy Solutions, Tech-Max Publications, to name a few.
Recently Image Offset has invested in no process polyester plates from TechNova. Rahul Shah, owner of Image Offset says, “We opted for such plates due to quick production and less maintenance cost. There have been changes in the industry and a transformation from conventional machinery to an advanced automated system. The company has always tried to innovate and invest in state-of-theart equipment to provide the best solutions and quality to clients.”
TechNova PoliJet 9900 is a polyester film no process plate that can be imaged by high-resolution pigment-based large format inkjet printers. At Image Offset the imaging of plates is done on Epson Stylus Pro 9900 series. TechNova PoliJet 9900 is an inkjet CtP solution made specifically for the medium to small offset printers and publishers.
The company’s shopfloor is equipped with three Heidelberg single color SORD presses, Miller Perfector, three Poly Plate machines, 4-color Komori Lithrone 426 press, two six clamp binding machines, three knife trimmers, two cutting machines for the 45-inch Fujifilm’s online CtP 9600, 18 section gathering machines, Muller Martini’s centre pinning machine, thermal lamination and three folding machines. The company’s three units housed in the approx 30,000 square-foot Dhayari plant in Pune produce around 8,000 copies in a day.
“PoliJet plates require less amount of consumables than those needed in any analog systems such as lith film and pre-sensitized plate. Using PoliJet ensures reduction in manpower and working costs. The PoliJet CtP system is designed for commercial jobs. It also offers printers the opportunity to upgrade from laser plates to 4- color inkjet plates at similar costs,” concludes Shah.
