At Screen Print India 2016 held from 6 to 8 May in Mumbai, the Grafica Flextronica stand was one of the most crowded ones due to Dhirubhai Mistry Institute for Print Education, Research and Training (DMI’s) 10th anniversary celebration. The event was attended by DMI’s workshop participants, customers, dealers, industry associates and students. Grafica Fextronica showcased a wide range of screen printing machineries like automatic direct to garment screen printing machine, fully automatic screen printing and heavy duty semiautomatic screen printing machine along with other allied products for graphics, commercial, industrial and textile printing.

Grafica Flextronica promoted the Nano-Print Plus, an advanced auto take-off system, which reduces extra labour required to pick up printed material. It also features a pneumatic squeegee pressure equalizer to obtain perfect registration and consistent color reproduction with even ink deposition all over the image area and also minimizes the wear and tear of the squeeze. GraficaTex and Nano Printag plus a direct to garment press, Nano Screen Maker and Nano UV for instant drying were the other presses which were displayed.

DMI, an initiative in screen printing from Grafica Flextronica, includes training programmes to ensure that print professionals sharpen their technical skills thus improving quality in print production. The main objective is to create awareness, raise the knowledge bar and bridge the gap between theory and practical applications among the print fraternity. Moreover, the company is planning to continue with regular workshops and training on advanced screen printing from 27 to 29 June 2016 to impart knowledge on value additions, graphics and industrial screen printing.

At the stand, various items including samples of wine boxes were present with screen printing having impressions on an MDF board. Few other items involved screen printing of photochromic and thermochromic color changing inks, UV special effects (abrasive, sensation, crystal, glitter, glow in dark, bubble, reflective UVs) from Colors and Skyscreen and UV inks by Fujifilm Sericol.
