Uttarbanga Sambad is yet another Indian newspaper that has placed an order with QIPC systems. A regional broadsheet that started up in 1980, Uttarbanga Sambad is investing in the mRC-3D system for color register on it new web offset press from Naph Graphics. With editions and plants in Siliguri, Cooch Behar and Malda the daily is growing in West Bengal.

The mRC-3D is a fully automated color register system for rotary offset printing presses. In this particular case, eight digital cameras with builtin microprocessors will be responsible for real-time data processing of the measurement data. The mRC3D system in India comes with the Automatic Ink Mist Shield (AIMS) which cleans the lenses automatically. Talking about the company’s investment in QIPC’s system Karande says, “As a result of this, we expect to make considerable savings in terms of time and money. What’s more, we hope to improve the print quality.”
