i -manager Publications based in Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu has recently installed an Autoprint Dion 450+ four color press. Already having run an Autoprint Dion 250, the company decided in favour of the 4-color Dion 450+ over other options especially imported machines. Renisha Winston, director of i-manager Publications, says, “The print quality of Autoprint Dion 450+ has helped us gain traction in the local market. Moreover, our customers too have benefited by faster and timely delivery and better printing quality. With the Dion 450+ we are planning to enter into new printing segments and also serve the needs of the South Kerala markets.”
The company specializes in publishing scientific, technology, education and management journals. The year 2004 saw the launch of their first journal I-manager’s Journal of Educational Technology, which was accepted by the academia. Over the past 12 years, they have launched new journals year after year and today imanager brings out 28 journals in diverse streams of engineering, education, management and nursing. Besides publishing journals i-manager also does commercial printing jobs for academic institutions, corporates and the local market. Product offerings in the commercial printing segment include brochures, catalogs, flyers, pamphlets, calendars, visiting cards and wedding cards.
i-manager has been successfully running their Autoprint Dion 250 and as the business grew they decided to upgrade to a four color machine. “We had a choice between an imported make and an Autoprint. The improved features of Dion 450+; the compactness of the machine and the attractive pricing made us decide in favour of Autoprint Dion 450+. Right from the size of paper, we feel that this was a better choice as cost of production is minimized in all aspects – ROI, space, labour and power. The quality of printing has improved considerably after the installation and we are getting repeat orders from our customers,” explains Winston.
Currently the turnover of imanager is around Rs. 1.5 crore which the company plans to increase to Rs. 2 crore next year. The plans to add a single color machine and a perfect cutting machine will materialize soon, according to Winston. The company’s experience with both Dion as well as Autoprint personnel has been pleasant. “They are highly professional and their customer service is good,” says Winston, who expects a ROI of three years for their Dion 450+.
