NPES, The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies, the International Color Consortium (ICC) and The Bombay Master Printers’ Association (BMPA) will host the Print Business Outlook Conference 2016, themed ‘Creating Future Print through Technology and Innovation,’ on 15 March 2016 at The Westin Mumbai Garden City in Mumbai.

The conference will discuss the latest innovations and explore the rapidly changing technological landscape of the global print industry. Encompassing a full day of education and networking the meeting is designed to examine the advantages of digital printing and manufacturing in a changing industry. With over 250 printers, publishers, manufacturers and suppliers in attendance, eager for tactical advice and strategies on raising the bar, there will be many interactive networking opportunities for attendees during the full-day meeting.

The conference is supported by the All Indian Federation of Master Printers Association (AIFMP), the Indian Printing, Packaging and Allied Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (IPAMA) and PRIMIR, the Print Industries Market Information and Research Organization, the research unit of NPES.

A compelling agenda of timely topics, presented by top industry experts, is set to engage participants in a lively discussion covering topics like Impact of Electronic Technologies on Print – A Market Research Study by PRIMIR; Color Management in the Post-Digital Age; iccMAX: The Next Wave of ICC Color Management; How to Build an ISO- and ICC-Compliant Workflow; References in Our Color Communication Exploring Opportunities in Digital Printing Packaging Design and Branding; and Future, Opportunities and Challenges of Inkjet Technologies.

According to William Li, ICC cochair and color technology manager, Kodak, “In a world where everyone competes equally on price and time to market, color is the way to differentiate your printed product from the rest of the pack. Interestingly, it turns out that taking the journey to improve your color quality also improves your bottom line and your time to market. The Print Business Outlook Conference 2016 will be one of the best places for print industry companies to learn how, in a market undergoing rapid change, to get ahead in color technology and enhance their product strategy.”

BMPA president Faheem Agboatwala states, “Print is evolving and the BMPA is keen to promote awareness of current and impending changes. To this end, we have joined together with NPES and ICC to host the Print Business Outlook Conference 2016.” He adds, “While not only giving our members insight into the future of print, we are also pleased to bring this carefully curated conference and sold-out event to the attention and benefit of the print fraternity worldwide.”

The roster of international printing experts includes Marco Boer, vice president, IT Strategies; William Li, ICC co-chair and color technology manager, Kodak; Steve Smiley, president, Smiley Color & Associates Global Brand Solutions; Juergen Seitz, senior technical advisor, GMG; Elie Khoury, president, Alwan Color Expertise; Phil Green, professor of Color Imaging at the Colour and Visual Computing Laboratory, Gjøvik University College, Norway; and many others.
