On 25 January Fujifilm India opened its first Demo Centre in Mumbai to showcase and demonstrate its flagship products and its capabilities as well as a customer gallery displaying print samples. The unique Demo Centre has been designed to give a real time experience of the company’s wide format printing prowess.

The centre showcases the Fujifilm range of wide format inkjet printers (WFIJ) including its latest version of the Acuity LED 1600 – a versatile wide format LED UV inkjet printer. Its new feature comprises a new fast printing mode of 33 square metres (355 square feet) an hour, which is more than 50% faster than the previous model, addressing customer demands for faster job turnarounds and lower output cost. The Acuity Advance Select is the all-in-one mid-range UV inkjet flatbed printer offering outstanding performance and quality in PoP material and creative printing. The Acuity EY flatbed offers the perfect combination of near photographic print quality, production output and investment cost. These wide format UV inkjet printers can print on a wide range of rigid and flexible media for a wide range of applications. Using Fujifilm’s award-winning Uvijet inks, the Acuity printers aim to offer good quality which is affordable and faster returns.

The company is expected to achieve 10% overall growth by the end of FY 2015 of which the graphics arts business is one of the most important drivers for growth. The company is looking at achieving 15% growth by the end of FY 2016. As a novel initiative by Fujifilm in the WFIJ printing industry, the company is opening its first Demo Centre exclusively for this segment. With this initiative the company wants to strengthen its graphic arts presence in India and increase its revenue with a more significant contribution coming from this business.

Inaugurating the Demo Centre, Yasunobu Nishiyama, managing director of Fujifilm India, said, “The objective of opening a Demo Centre is to give a live experience of our printing products to our customers as ‘Seeing is Believing.’ With our worldclass printing technology, we are committed towards providing the best user experience. Our Acuity range of printers has been a success with their speed, quality and precision in work. Moreover, they are energy efficient and eco-friendly. We look forward to add more products to our centre going forward.”
