Anjali Kapoor of Bloomberg to speak at DMI5
Anjali Kapoor, head of digital, Asia for Bloomberg Media will deliver the second day’s keynote address on ‘Audience and Data – Engaging your Audience’ at the Digital Media India 2016 Conference in New Delhi.
Engaging and growing an audience is paramount to most media organizations in the fast-paced world of multiple platforms and social feeds. Kapoor will spell out how Bloomberg is using audience data to create a targeted strategy and how they create consistency across a diverse region. A team of digital editors based in Hong Kong work to unify Bloomberg’s powerful existing media assets – including Bloomberg News, Bloomberg Businessweek, Bloomberg Markets and Pursuits magazines, Bloomberg Television, Bloomberg Radio and original digital video – to deliver relevant stories for Bloomberg.com.
Bloomberg began its news service, in 1990, with a six-person team led by Matt Winkler based in New York. Bloomberg News has since grown into one of the world’s largest and most influential news organizations, with more than 2,400 news professionals in 150 bureaus across 73 countries, producing more than 5,000 stories every day. Before joing Bloomberg, Kapoor was director, Digital News Strategy at The Globe and Mail in Canada where she oversaw the digital editorial strategy. Prior to that, she was the managing editor of Digital, and worked with the senior management to shift the traditional newsroom into a digital culture.
