Founded in 2005, Line Graphics is a creative agency to the printing and publishing industry in Jaipur. Growing in the graphic designing and printing fields, Line Graphics is known for its exceptionally innovative graphic designing and value-for-money printing. Providing print services for segments like schools, colleges, industries, hospitals, hotels and other B2Bs, Line Graphics shifted to commercial digital printing to provide all print services under one roof. Through digital printing solutions, it is now able to deliver time bound projects and meet critical deadlines for brochures, prospectus, book jackets, posters, press advertisements, packaging and even event themes.
Recently, Line Graphics opted for a new Pro C5100s digital press from Ricoh. Himmat Rathour, owner of Line Graphics, says, “We provide our customers innovative graphic designing including concept making and content development and realizing ideas to put them on paper, of course. We have evolved as a graphic design studio, and after settling the old digital production press, we opted for the Ricoh Pro C5100s. This machine seemed the best choice for me due to its 13 x 49.6 inch output, a good size for this segment of presses. The service quality and cost range assured are other positive aspects going for this machine.”
Line Graphics prints for contractors who collect work from the market, consolidate and transfer it. Rathour says, “We take pride in our creativity and innovative ideas in our field. We are always ready for new experiments to make the final product better. However, the current 2-minute noodle mentality is quite a big challenge for us. Nowadays, customers are demanding more and more in less and less cost and time. We are fighting hard to meet their expectations.”
In the near future Line Graphics is planning to set up a complete digital print plant, where a customer can enter with an idea and exit with a ready-to-use product. Similar to packaging and delivering cost-effective and innovative paper printing solutions for any kind of requirement, it will target start-ups and entrepreneurs in all areas, providing services from corporate identity to comprehensive marketing stationery.
Due to increasingly shorter deadlines in the print service market, the commercial digital printing market is expanding. Digital press owners are seeing their annual volumes increase year by year. Small to mid-run printing is largely moving to digital printing. According to Rathour, digital printing can give tough competition to the offset industry, if the dramatic cost difference for each piece between these two can be reduced a bit more.
“Currently in Jaipur, digital printing has increased similar to the trends elsewhere. The photographic printing segment has also shifted to digital printing resulting in a huge growth for digital printing in both Jaipur as well as in all of Rajasthan. Offset multicolor printing has also shown growth and is still growing in India, I believe, contrary to the international printing market which is threatened by the web era. If printers continue to innovate and remain creative, the market in India will continue to grow and remain profitable,” concludes Rathour.
