Bengaluru-based Global Ventures, which is primarily into corporate branding, events, expos, theme pavilions, and more, has an advanced print production facility equipped with a fleet of machines such as eco-solvent digital large-format printers and others for printing and production of graphics for diverse applications and finished-products.

The facility has installed a new Canon imagePRESS V770 digital color production press for short-run print production of commercial graphics, which Global Ventures used to outsource. The new Canon press now handles it in-house.

Deavalin D’souza, COO, Global Ventures, said, “When we were in pursuit of a digital color production press for short-run commercial printing at our facility, the Canon iPR V770 impressed us. The press ticks all the boxes of our requirements. We extensively engage in delivering transformative events, media and such experiences with printed graphics and solutions across diverse media or substrates in various sizes and textures. For certain short-run graphic prints and applications, we missed a digital production press amid the large-format printers. This new iPR V770 has now filled the gap.”

Launched in India in a big way in May this year by Canon India as a machine made for India with an approach to align with what customers want in the country’s commercial printing market, the iPR V770 has become a choice for many print shops within the short span of its launch.

Among the machine’s added features, a new air-assist tray is designed to help operators handle the smooth feeding of coated-media with fewer interruptions. It produces vibrant prints in vivid reds and richer blues. The press’ newly developed toner density management is designed to print small texts in exceptional quality.

The new Canon digital press handles media from 52gsm up to 350gsm. Operating at the speeds of 81ppm and 77ppm (pages per min), the iPR V770 compatibly prints on media of 52gsm to 256gsm picking up from the press’ standard tray and newly added air-assist tray. The press can print on coated media between 70gsm and 350gsm with ease. Other varieties of non-conventional media printable flawlessly on the press include labels, envelopes, textured and synthetic materials.

“We focus on transforming ideas into immersive, high-quality experiences that elevate brands and engage audiences on every level. We work for corporate customers from different industrial clusters, who are quite quality conscious, yearning for on-time deliveries of finished products on the strictest deadlines. To meet the needs of such customers, we selected the iPR V770 with additional features and capabilities as a modern breakthrough of digital production printing to produce graphic prints in richer colors, sharper texts, and outstanding innovations in quick makeready times,” D’souza said.
