The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has announced its Call for Entries for the FICCI Publishing Awards 2025, celebrating excellence across India’s publishing landscape. Instituted in 2017, the awards aim to recognize the creativity, innovation, and perseverance of publishers, authors, and printers who contribute to the nation’s literary and intellectual growth.
Books published and released between 1 January and 31 December 2025, are eligible for consideration. The awards will honor outstanding works across a broad range of categories, including children’s books, fiction, non-fiction, audiobooks, business books, comics/graphic novels, and translations.
Among the key highlights are distinctions such as Children’s Book of the Year (English and Hindi, in two age categories), Book of the Year – Fiction and Non-Fiction (Print/E-book), and Audiobook of the Year in both languages. In addition, the awards will commend achievements in book design, production, and printing innovation, as well as titles that demonstrate exceptional translation quality.
This year’s edition places particular emphasis on design and production excellence, recognizing the growing influence of visual storytelling and digital publishing formats. Categories such as best book cover design, overall book design, and innovation in book printing highlight FICCI’s commitment to acknowledging both artistic and technical craftsmanship.
The awards feature specialized segments for business books, encompassing management, economics, self-help, and biographies of business leaders—reflecting India’s dynamic entrepreneurial spirit.
Entries are now open, and FICCI invites publishers, authors, and printers nationwide to submit their finest works for evaluation. The winners will be honored at a dedicated ceremony celebrating creativity and innovation in publishing.
For Children’s Book of the Year (fiction), both printed books and eBooks published in India are eligible. The entries must be a full-length work of fiction. Unreleased books are not eligible and the entries must be an original work in English/Hindi. The books must not be self-published. Details here
