SPH Media, South China Morning Post, and Bisnis Indonesia took the top honors at the Asian Media Awards 2025, where India’s DB Corp and Business Today also figured in the list.

In the fiercely contested awards, the judging panel awarded five Golds and one Silver to SCMP, while SPH Media took home three Golds and seven Silvers. Bisnis Indonesia, earned five awards with one Silver in the open competition and four trophies in the small & medium category (SM).

To underscore their achievements, this year’s awards attracted 228 entries from 41 media organisations spanning 17 countries. Besides Bisnis Indonesia, the SM companies that beat their larger counterparts to clinch overall Golds and Silvers were Kumparan, The Japan Times and Wildtype Media.

The small/medium category was created for companies with annual revenue of less than US$ 10 million to shine a spotlight on their innovation and creativity when competing with the better-resourced media firms.

This year’s competition also celebrated first-time winners, including ARIJ and Project Multatuli, who were making their debut in the acclaimed awards.

The awards were presented at an awards dinner celebrating their success at The Conrad Singapore Orchard, held in conjunction with the Asian Media Leaders Summit 2025.

Congratulations to all the winners for their continued innovation and excellence in the news publishing industry!
